The rants and ramblings of one who tries to do his bit to make the world a better place
About Me
- Name: Barro
- Location: Ferntree Gully, Melbourne, Australia
Red curry is my favorite curry, but orange juice gets me going. I try and swim 3 times per week, and walk a little in between. I love cricket and footy, I was there when the Pies won their last flag, my first album was Deep Purple, I used to be in love with Suzy Q, I like Star Wars, but the original 3 were much better than the latest ones. Martin Luther King is one of my heroes, I love watching my children grow up,and sometimes I get to read the paper. I enjoy good coffee, but not too much. I hang out to wake up next to my best mate Helen each morning and not rush off to save the world. I wish the Beatles were still together, I tried to play the guitar a few times, I love to ride my Harley, I hate walking in the rain when I get wet, and I hate people who waffle on about themselves...

Hi Barro
Trust you're well bro.
I reckon that many people just love to pick on Hillsong because they feel inferior. Its partly HS's issue, partly those who criticise it. I have just come from the States and what struck me is how 'possibility minded' the Americans are. Some might say naive, but I say open. Aussies tend to be cynical at first and then try and sort out the truth. Americans open first and then sort out whether it is true. This has something to do with our constant bagging of HS. Whatever, it can't be all that healthy. For all the problems and theological issues we might have with HS, it still remains an instrument of God.
I wonder how much money is locked into the mainline denominations. I believe a whole lot more than what Hillsong has got!! The Anglican's alone would be worth billions. Methinks we have logs in the eyes.
Anyhow, have a great Christmas and NEw Year my friend. youa re a real live hero.
Love
Alan
